"Tis but a Scratch!"

Tis but a Scratch! is an accidental open pollination of an over eager Coot’s Special 1 (Kerala leaner) to a selection of Black Prince Rubies. I was in the process of doing my final sift of a multi part sift, we smaller time growers have to break up the big hunts that the folks in big greenhouses get to do. Anyway, in the final sift I managed to find my first and second place plants, ironically both green phenotypes and also ironically numbers 1 and 3. 3 is better with that gorgeous laundry drier sheet and rose water but I digress.
The Coot’s Special in this cross definitely leans towards the Kerala whereas the official releases currently use his brother, a much more obviously Highland Thai leaning male by far. He got to do the love dance where they make the beast with many backs to a few Black Prince Rubies including the strawberry shisha phenotype and a number of others. I mixed the seeds together and voilá a healthy variety of permutations is in every seed pack.
Consider this pack a gift and a tester and a jumping off point and a project to work. I know the Black Prince Ruby brings great stability and hashability to every cross it touches, in addition to shortening the flowering time. I also know the Coot’s Special Highland Thai is un messed with, outside the bottlenecks, has no ceiling and will get you absolutely spaceship lit. Beam me up Scotty this is the stuff.
