Lime River Rose

from $55.00

(Kaffir Lime x Rubyjack f2) 10 beans +

What seems like ages ago Subcool sent me my second favorite pack of seeds ever. My first favorite pack has still always been Rubyjack from my friend Mz.Stevia, and you’ll get to enjoy that in the father’s side of this cross.

Kaffir Lime (Black Lime Reserve x Jack the Ripper) was in my mind an almost perfect cross. They were somewhat unrelated lines both with different high horizons, different growth styles and even different citruses, yes really. Jack the Ripper is famous for lemon, vivid bright lemon sometimes like a lemonade sometimes like lemon suckers, sometimes lemon socks but lemon lemon lemon. JTR is also famous for being the shortest flowering haze you can find and despite that short flowering time she can lend a potent and unique high through the THC-V and other unique cannabinoids she offers.

Black Lime Reserve on the other hand is indica heavy, coming from gassy Afghan lines she is legendary for her strong lime flavor, often having a lime urinal cake and gas aroma that isn’t alway totally appealing.

In this one ten pack of seeds I found 8 females (I wish I had thought to keep a male) and 7 of them where absolutely spectacular. I got to see a range of phenotypic expression from JTR in the #1 to BLR in the #5 with the most potent high but a profoundly urinal cake aroma that I couldn’t get over.

The first plant out of the pack that I showed a liking to was #6 she had an ominous hanging fan leaf structure that looked like a vampire sneaking into the room every time I looked at her.

She also tastes like lime popsicles and gushes resin, with a potent somewhat relaxing high. I like smoking her when I’m stressed or need to consider things for a moment, the flavor is spectacular and takes me on a little trip all the way to the butt of the joint.

I had a dream that I could marry my two favorite strains together at the time, and it took me a while to realize it. I thought I could pull some of the soft grapefruit and berry notes out of Rubyjack and some of the noticeably old school structure and color of Rubyjack with the f2 male I made and lay them onto the lime popsicle of Kaffir Lime 6.

Testers have reported everything from bright sour lime to gassy lime peel to sweet lime infused with rose or flower potpourri. She is resinous with a firm bud structure.

Growers should expect about 100% stretch and should train and prune accordingly, I recommend appropriate defoliation to expose bud sites. She is a moderate feeder and should finish between 60-70 days. There are early finishing phenotypes.
