Fumidoro Seed Co started with a dream for better more unique herb. Whenever I look at something I think of how I could make it better, different, more my own. Life is more fun when you claim a piece of it and weed has let me do that.

I was blessed with excellent genetics as a tester for Subcool, Mz.Stevia and several other established breeders. I got to see how varied cannabis is but also how similar, an artifact of decades of prohibition and stigma on genetics. I also learned that good cannabis has a way of finding YOU. I can’t explain it but I can enjoy the fact that some plants come into one’s life from friends and happy coincidences.

It didn’t take long for me to realize cannabis is a canvas onto which we can paint many vivid colors and themes, a little blue sky maybe with some Afghan or some more happy little accidents with some Haze in the mix. Cannabis is so interesting it could be art.

And it’s that artistic element that infatuates me with cannabis, there is no limit to what can be done with it from the flavors to the effects and highs to even the appearance we can tailor cannabis to our lives like we tailor the art and artistry in our lives.

Come along with me my friends and I hope you enjoy our journey. I intend to create some lovely things and I hope to share them with you.

I grow in established living soil using only natural and mostly raw amendments like malted barley, alfalfa, kelp meals, worm castings etc. I do this because not only does the herb taste better but the seeds are healthier, more vigorous, more exposed to the real world of both pathogens and beneficials, and as a result are more vibrant and better weed in my firm opinion. Seeds from living soil are better, faster, stronger.

Q: Where’d you get the name Fumidor?

A: I had an amazing dog that went everywhere with me wagging all the way and always making people smile. He also had a really stinky mouth so I jokingly nicknamed him Fumidor, because he was a little box of stinks. On the internet nobody knows if you’re a dog so he’d always sit next to me while I’d be browsing and it seemed natural to use his nickname.

I also loved that it was a pun for fumi d’oro or fumes of gold in Italian and I always love a good pun. I blew some glass in my college days and one of my favorite effects has always been gold fuming.
